5-Panel Drug Test- What You Need to Know
General pre-employment and workplace has long relied on the 5-panel drug test. While it can be an effective way to confirm suspicions, this test only deals with five substances. With natural and synthetic drug use on the rise, you are less likely to pinpoint usage or abuse unless you get very lucky with a 5-Panel drug test.
When a 5-Panel test provides negative results, that doesn’t mean the test subject is clean and clear of abuse of substances not included on the panel. Before you test, our staff can help you get a better idea of what you need to test for.
At Test Smartly Labs we’re here to customize your drug panel, and we understand how to guide our clients to make educated choices and recognize signs of abuse. We can help you understand the symptoms and behaviors to look for and match them with the likely drug class. Just some of the drugs we can test for include:

Putting the Power of Knowledge to Good Use
Instant Drug Screens and Lab-Based Drug tests may sound the same, but they are very different. Instant Screens (often mistakenly called drug tests) are completely inconclusive in the matter of confirming a positive drug test. They only rule out certain drugs that don’t display non-negative results.
Non-negative results must be sent to a Diagnostic Lab for further lab-based testing so the metabolite can be isolated and verified/confirmed. Once confirmed, a Medical Review Officer must gather prescription information from the donor to see if the substance identified is legally-prescribed and occurs at therapeutic levels in the donor’s body as the prescription should be. It’s not until this point that the test be utilized and communicated with confidence.
Whether you need results to determine someone’s continued employment, parole violations, or as part of a child custody case, accurate and reliable results are critical.
